(Max 25 Characters)

Chess is an intricate, analytical and abstract game that requires thinking and making choices.  Players will learn basic and advanced openings as well as tactical moves to plan strategies for checkmate.  Students will be taught at this young age to make choices and think at least two moves ahead.  Lessons on the middle game strategy will be a large part of being an intermediate chess player and also simultaneously planning for moves to checkmate.  Students will be taught to think and play smart and not to memorize moves to win.  There is more in chess than just checkmate!  Brainstorm Workshop Chess is held once per week on Wednesdays from 2:35 PM - 3:35 PM.  Classes begin Wednesday, January 17th and run till Wednesday, April 4th.  NO Class February 21st.
